Social software – Ectoleaning.
I came across this Youtube Clip – This is EctoLearning which discusses the ‘downloadable’ Social Software Ectolearning.
It states that it provides many opportunities for learners. It enables learners and instructors to connect and form groups in ways that enhance interactivity. It encourages exploration and facilitates collaboration. It goes on to say that classrooms who use Ectolearning become more personal and more interactive because students have more channels to ask and answer questions in an environment that encourages social networking. Ectolearning also has a learning management system (LMS) which allows instructors to manage observe and grade students. I am wondering for those who are familar with Illuminate is this similar?
